The special love and relationship of the owner with the Greek Macedonian architecture, both in terms of his professional capacity, as an architect-engineer specializing in stone buildings, as well as his family ties with a beautiful area of Greece, Kastoria with the magnificent Macedonian mansions, was the necessary blend, which contributed to the birth of the idea.

An idea that was implemented through the special love for the tradition, for the old, the historical, the Greek, the authentic and above all, integrated in an environment with human measures.

Viraggas is in direct contact with the wonderful nature around as well as the entire very old village of Vrastama in which the hotel is located. The village is one of the entrances to the NATURA area and the wonderful forest of Holomontas. The wider environment as well as the overall installation, are characterized not only by beauty but also by the calm and clean atmosphere.

So, the activities in nature such as walking, cycling, the observation of the fauna and flora, the excellent stay with the comfortable, very clean and family environment as well as the well-known cuisine of Viraggas, are some of the reasons, for which Viraggas attracts visitors from 45 countries around the world.

For the better service of its guests and in combination with the new need for safe places against threats such as COVID-19, Viraggas, in addition to the implementation of the measures as a HEALTH FIRST hotel, -certified already since last year-, implements extra measures such as filtration and cleaning of the air in the living room-Reception, the contactless check in, as well as the design of a special application for the guests with all the necessary information, for use by their own devices, such as smartphones, tablets and laptops.
