Immersive Experiences and Alternative Tourism

Through this map, readers gain an initial perspective of the Pieria – Olympus Riviera destination. It effectively emphasizes the region’s immersive experiences and alternative tourism options, allowing visitors to explore its unique offerings on a personal level.

This ambitious initiative by POTAP captures the essence of Pieria’s landscape—its stunning natural scenery, historical significance, and local craftsmanship. However, its most striking feature is the emphasis on the mythical Mount Olympus and the breathtaking Pieria mountain range.

A Collaborative Effort

The Bilingual Tourism Map of Pieria was conceptualized, proposed, and overseen by Mr. Vasilis Dimou, Director of POTAP, with artistic and graphic design by renowned designer-artist Mr. Spyros Tsiligiridis. The project was also made possible through the significant support of Ms. Sofia Mavridou, Deputy Regional Governor of Pieria.

In her statement, Ms. Mavridou emphasized:

“The new bilingual ‘Tourism Map of Pieria,’ a product of joint efforts between the Regional Unit of Pieria and POTAP, is a valuable addition to our diverse promotional materials. It provides visitors and tourism professionals with a three-dimensional visual representation of our region. This publication is more than just a map—it offers a journey through experiential tourism. We wish it great success!”
